Soy Salmon

Max gets all the credit for this meal - but it's one of our favorites and easiest meals!

  • salmon

  • water - 1/4 cup

  • soy sauce (liquid aminos) - 1/3 cup

  • olive oil - 1/3 cup

  • brown sugar (brown coconut sugar) - 1/4 cup

  • garlic - 3 cloves, chopped

  • lemon - half for the marinade, slices for cooking

  • salt & pepper

First, you will need to combine the marinade ingredients into a bowl large enough to hold the marinade and the salmon: water, soy sauce, garlic cloves, brown sugar, olive oil, and the juice of half of a lemon.

Next, place the salmon into the marinade and let sit for 1-6 hours in the fridge. Sometimes we make the marinade in the morning and let the salmon sit in the marinade until dinner!

Once you're ready to start preparing, preheat the oven to 375 degrees.

Slice up the rest of the lemon and place the salmon and lemon slices in tin foil on a baking sheet.

Bake the salmon until it is cooked to your liking - we like the salmon to flake, roughly 10 minutes depending on the salmon size.

Remove from oven, plate and enjoy :)
